This MEGA BUNDLE of “Clip-It” task cards will support your students with various phonics and spelling patterns throughout the year. This engaging resource is perfect for in-person or remote learning. It can be used in literacy centers, stations, small group instruction, or a 1:1 tutoring situation.

IMPORTANT: This is a “growing” bundle, which means new sets will be added and the bundle will continue to grow. The price will increase with each set added, so be sure to grab this resource now before the price goes up! You will have access to the new sets as they are added to the bundle.

The phonics and spelling “Clip It” task cards are aligned with Orton Gillingham and Barton Reading & Spelling patterns.

These cards are intended for students who need extra practice with the following spelling rules:

• Double Consonant F, L, S, Z (Floss)

• Initial /k/

• Medial /k/

• Final /k/

• Final /ch/

• Multi-Syllable Final /k/

• Ending S & ES (Plural & 3rd Person Present Tense)

• Accented vs. Unaccented Syllables

• Schwa

 

The following Barton Reading & Spelling rules are covered:

• Floss (F, L, S, Z)

• Kiss the Cat

• Picnic Chicken Basket

• Milk Truck

• Catch Lunch

• Music Trick

• Plural – S vs. ES

• Accented Syllables (Book 5, Lesson 5 & 6)

• Texas Blossom

• Cancel Pencil

 

NOTE: Students must be explicitly taught EACH spelling rule and pattern before using these cards. This resource is for practice only!

Using clothespins or an object/marker, students will mark the correct spelling for the words provided. Students must apply each spelling rule to help them decide which spelling is correct. A recording sheet and answer key are included with each set for students to complete and check their answers independently.
