Roll a Snowman | Winter Visualizing Dice Activity

This visualizing activity will be sure to bring some fun into your classroom throughout the winter months!

This resource includes:

  • Teacher/Student Directions
  • 3 Roll-a-Snowman Adjective Charts
  • 3 Corresponding Graphic Organizers

Directions:

  1. Choose a template (3 or 5 column).

  2. Introduce the snowmen adjectives and vocabulary words.

  3. Students will work in partners or independently to roll dice (3x-5x) for each column.

  4. Students will record the different descriptive words and items in the corresponding graphic organizer.

  5. Students will record their Roll-a-Snowman use the words and their visualizations to illustrate a picture of their snowmen.

 

Use this activity for morning work, literacy centers, or a sub activity. You can even assign it via Google Classroom for students to complete remotely. Take it one step further and extend this activity into a descriptive writing project.
