Are your students choppy readers? Do they need extra help with fluency phrasing?
This task card acitivity is perfect for small group instruction and RTI interventions! With this resource, you’ll get 48 task cards to use with your beginning readers to practice and assess PHRASING.
24 task cards already include scoop lines (marking phrases) for your students to practice reading with appropriate phrasing. The other 24 task cards do NOT include scoop lines and provide the opportunity for your students to draw in the scoop lines. (A self-check page is provided for independent literacy centers.) Assessment pages are included for you to monitor student progress with phrasing.
SET 8 — This set focuses on multi-syllable words and complex consonants & vowels.
NOTE: Each set increases in difficulty, allowing for differentiation within this skill for your classroom.
The daily activities are Common Core (RF.4) aligned and aim to reinforce oral reading fluency skills after students learn about the different components. Have students complete the fluency task cards for morning bell-work, literacy centers, or complete digitally for remote learning. (NOTE: These cards are not fluency reading passages! They focus on PHRASING, a specific skill within the area of fluency.)
